Possibility of stimulation of cerebral angiogenesis and neurogenesis with transcatheter intracerebral laser photobiomodulation therapy during dementia in patients with Alzheimer’s disease and in patients with distal cerebral atherosclerosis

Background The research is dedicated to stimulation of cerebral angiogenesis and neurogenesis with Transcatheter Intracerebral Laser Photobiomodulation Therapy (PBMT) in patients dementia during Alzheimer’s disease (AD) distal forms atherosclerosis. Materials & Methods 350 were examined. We carried out determination CDR, Tomography Dementia Rating scale (TDR), MMSE, CT, MRI, SG, rheoencephalography (REG), MUGA. 48 (13.71%) AD aged 34-80 (mean age 67.5) selected: 17 men (35.42%), 31 women (54.58%). According their severity, the subdivided: preclinical stage (TDR-0) - 4, mild (TDR-1) 16, moderately severe (TDR-2) 21, (TDR-3) 7. 302 (86.29%) atherosclerosis 58-81 78) 226 (74.83%), 76 (25.17%). (СDR-1) 284 (94.04%), (СDR-2) 18 (5.96%). At hospital, all underwent PBMT. Results All (100%) showed improved microcirculation 10-20% increase volume temporal lobes, which indicates development tissue regeneration. process was accompanied by a decreased level restoration cognitive functions.
